There was a time that I felt really frustrated and unfulfilled, like everyone was against me; and I just flat out could not feel the presence of God. I was in a sea of raging emotions; and I really didn’t know why these emotions were coming at me so strong or how to stop them! I began to think that maybe God didn’t know what I was going through. Maybe he didn’t know just how bad I was feeling. Wouldn’t he come rescue me if He knew?
After a few days of drowning in these emotions and walking around completely miserable, the scripture Psalm 34:15 (New King James Version) came to me-“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.”
This scripture told me and still tells me that God sees me! He knows just where I’m at and exactly what I’m going through at all times! See, we often assume that just because God has yet to deliver us from a particular storm that perhaps He is unaware of what is going on with us. But this scripture lets us know that God indeed watches His children and is full aware of everything that’s going on.
It is difficult not knowing why we are going through a storm or when we will come out. But considering how much God loves us and with all His goodness and faithfulness, Do you really think He won’t rescue us from our storms in due season?! 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) tells us that God is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear-he will provide a way of escape if the storm gets too rough! Bottom line-if we are going through it, God sees it and He knows we can handle it!
I don’t know your particular situation or what kind of storm you may be going through. But what I do know is that God is faithful and He will deliver you in due season!
Say this short prayer:
God I come to you, handing you all of my burdens. I am in the midst of a storm and I can’t see my way out. I don’t know why I’m in this storm or when I will come out; but help me to take comfort in your Word which says that your eyes are upon the righteous. Help me to always remember that you see me in the midst of my situations. And help me to be assured that you will strengthen me and ultimately deliver me according to your will. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen!
-To God be the Glory
