From The Pages of My Journal: A Powerful Affirmation

Below is a journal entry that I wrote almost a year ago. Looking back, I see that it is indeed a wonderful and powerful affirmation of who I believe I am in God, through Christ Jesus! Here it is:

Lord you know me and you love me better than I know and love myself. You created me, called me by your name, and gave me purpose. You carefully made me and put me together; you made no mistakes. I am the way you intended for me to be, created perfectly in your image (Genesis 1:27, NKJV). So who am I to think less of myself as I am your creation? And who am I to speak negatively of your creation? Your Word says that I am indeed fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14, NKJV). So I will believe just that!

I am beautiful inside and out. I am intelligent. I am capable of all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13, NKJV). I was made to love and to be loved. I am worthy of respect and dignity. I was created on purpose. I was created for you God, for your glory and your pleasure (Colossians 1:16, NKJV). I was created to love you Lord, to love others, and to love myself (Matthew 22:37-40, NKJV).

No more will I doubt myself. No more will I think negatively of myself in any way. And I pray that you can help me to remember these words always. And help me to serve the purpose for which I was created. Thank you so much Lord, for creating me and believing that your world, in all its beauty, needed a unique and one of a kind creation such as me. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

I encourage you to start your own journal! Find some scriptures that apply to your particular situation and write a powerful affirmation/journal entry with those scriptures. End it with a short prayer. When you get to feeling a little down, go back and read that journal entry-speak it out loud with faith and power! Learn to encourage yourself in the Lord! As always I pray these words have blessed! Like/Comment/Follow/Share
