Oh I have so many cares-I care for myself, my natural family, my church family, and even the world. I grieve for the harsh conditions of this world; I wonder will it ever get better! However, with all this endless wondering and worrying Matthew 6:27 (New King James Version) poses the question, “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” In other words, who can make their situation any better by worrying?
The answer is: no man can; in fact we make matters worse when we worry. God has indeed given us intelligent minds to think and problem solve. When problems arise we should use our minds to brainstorm solutions. However, once we have done all we can possibly do, we must NOT worry but hand it all over to God! Psalm 55:22 (NKJV) says to us, “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”
I don’t know what you are worrying about today-it could be a financial problem, health issue, or even a broken relationship; but I encourage you to take God at His Word. God created you; and He knows exactly what you need to survive (Matthew 6:8, NKJV). He knows you need food, clothes, shelter, love, and even purpose to survive and live a fulfilling life. And He is a faithful God, who will indeed supply your every need and even MORE (Philippians 4:19, Ephesians 3:20, NKJV)!
Hear this-your hands are not big enough to hold all your troubles; but the mighty hands of the Lord are able to hold them all! So hand them all over to Him today! Say this short prayer:
Lord, help me to stop worrying about matters that I can’t change. Help me to rest assured that you know my needs before I even ask and you will supply every need, giving me even more than I ask for. Lord I trust you to lift this heavy burden from me and give me peace in my mind. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
I pray these words have blessed! Like/Comment/Follow/Share!
