Question to the Young: Move it Monday

Hey there my faithful readers! I’m trying something new and it’s called Move it Monday. Each Monday I want to MOVE you by posing a question to you in hopes that you will respond and get a conversation going. This Monday I have posed my question through a Youtube video that I would like for you to watch! You can find it by going to Youtube and typing in Question to the Young: Your Godly Words. Or you can find it on my blog’s Facebook page by searching @yourgodlywords (like/follow my page once you find it).

I’d really like for you to view and comment on my video (to get the full affect) but if you don’t have time, I’ll go ahead and pose my question here! Here it is: What keeps YOUNG people from living a life that is pleasing to God, a life that is completely and fully surrendered to God?

I’m sure everyone will have a different opinion; whether it’s drugs/alcohol, fornication, lying, or just plain old shame. But once all of the opinions are out there, I want you to then pose the question to yourself and to others: Are any of these things worth spending an ETERNITY in hell?! Now I’ll answer that one for you; the answer is NO-nothing is worth losing your ticket to Heaven!

My whole point here is that God wants to use us ALL, the young as well as the old. Acts 2:17 (New King James Version) tells us that God will pour out His Spirit on ALL men-He will use young people to prophesy and even show us visions. But how can we young people receive what God is trying to do with us if we are caught up in sin?! YOUNG PEOPLE: IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP!

  1. From personal experience, I think it’s lack of understanding. And that goes for young and old. Once someone understand that he/she is not in control of their life. Then that someone is going to surrender all to God. That someone is going to realize that there’s no point in trying to control their life. God is in control of all. Whether we understand His plans or not, He will always have our best interest in mind. So the ONLY beneficial option is to surrender all to God.

    1. Amen!!! Yesss I agree, understanding is key! And when we surrender to God’s will we actually take the burden of trying to figure and plan everything out on our on-it’s a big RELIEF!…Thank you so much for reading and commenting my friend!
