So you say you’ve got faith? But those are just words-I ask you to SHOW me your faith by your actions. You say you believe with God ALL things are possible. And this is true according to Matthew 19:26 (New King James Version) which says “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
So if we REALLY believe this, why don’t our actions or works always measure up? Why do we still LIMIT ourselves? Why do we often DOUBT ourselves when it comes to putting the ideas God gave us to work? Why have we yet to start that business? Why have we yet to spread the Word and Love of God using the special gifts God has given us?
Now I must admit, I was even guilty of this myself. I’ll say about 2 years ago God began to deal with me concerning my gift of writing. One day it just popped into my mind and spirit to start a blog. I did a little research on it and when I saw the amount of WORK that went into it, I must admit I got a little overwhelmed. I let fear of responsibility and thoughts of “Am I good enough” stop me from doing what God had placed on my heart to do.
However, one day after hearing a very power message I was compelled to finally put my faith to WORK; and I am now walking by that scripture which says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV) And from this moment forth, NOTHING will stop me from mixing my faith with works and doing the complete will of God.
People of God: whatever your gift is whether it’s writing, doing hair, singing, cooking, dancing; literally whatever it is, use it in such a way that you glorify God. Use it in such a way that when you’re doing your thing people will know you are a CHILD OF GOD, that He is GOOD, and that you REALLY believe everything you say you believe about your God!
Put that faith to work, use your gift, put that idea God gave you into motion…Let’s WORK IT!
-To God be the Glory
