Do you remember that special feeling you got in middle school when someone wrote you a love letter? You felt special knowing that someone cared enough to write down a few sweet words to you. Well don’t you know God has already written you the LONGEST, most BEAUTIFUL love letter of all times? This love letter is like no other you’ve ever received and will make you feel EXTRA special. It’s filled with pages of how much your Heavenly father loves you and how PRECIOUS you are to Him. This letter is overflowing with comfort, direction, and plans of protection and prosperity for you! Oh I think you’ve read this love letter before, it’s called THE BIBLE.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New King James Version) tells us that every Word of the Bible is given by God’s inspiration, that we might have direction for our lives leading us to wholeness and completeness. So today I encourage you to put in some work; get BUSY writing something sweet back to God! We all know that if we TRULY love something we can talk about it all day and maybe even write a book about it. Men who are serious football fans could probably write an entire book on the history of their favorite football team and the rules of football. Women who love fashion, cooking, or doing hair could probably do the same. But why is it so hard for us to write something sweet about or to our Heavenly Father, whom we claim to love so dearly?
I encourage both MEN and WOMEN to keep a journal, which is something I’ve been doing for almost 2 years now. I’ve found it to be a very effective way to commune with God. I write down my prayers, my thankfulness to God, things I learn from His Word, and so many other wonderful things! I often feel the power of God so strongly through my writing that I have to stop right in the middle of writing to praise Him and acknowledge His presence. I guarantee you: if you commune with God by writing to Him, before long He will show Himself to you in a way you’ve never seen Him before! Now there’s so much that can be written about Him, from his mighty works to His unconditional love, to the very things He has delivered you from.
So write to God; put the pen to the paper…Let’s Work It!
-To God be the Glory
