Actions: New Perspective

Plain and simple: the best way for us to tell God we love Him is not with words from our lips but with our actions! We can’t claim we love God only to turn around and disobey Him or refuse to do His good works. Consider this: do we believe people just because they SAY they love us? Of course not, we examine how they treat us before we make that determination; and we even get “fired up” when we realize a person’s words don’t match up with their actions.

Now with that being said, why do we always act like things are so different when it comes to how we treat God?! It’s no different-we know good and well we can say ANYTHING with our mouths but our actions tell all. The Word of God clearly instructs us on how to show our love for God, through the ACTION of obeying Him or keeping His commandments! So let’s stop TALKING so much and start SHOWING God what we’re all about!

John 14:23-24 (New King James Version)

Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.”

  1. 28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. Matthew 21:28-31
