I hope none of you have fallen victim to the new year hype. You know, the one where you’re excited for like TWO MINUTES about what the new year might bring. You’re claiming blessings, setting goals, and feeling good about life but only for a short time. Once that initial hype and newness of the new year wears off you’re back at square one; hopeless, miserable, and not so joyous. If this has happened to you already I encourage you to stop placing your hope on ONE day; and start placing your hope on our Heavenly Father, THE ONE who makes the days. Know that you can surely have all those things you were claiming at the first of the year; however, you will have to put in some WORK and endure some PAIN in order to get them.
When you have to return back to work and deal with those nasty coworkers on January 2nd, deal with your unruly children on January 3rd, or pay those bills that just won’t seem to go away on January 4th; I encourage you to stand fast on all the blessings you declared over your life on January 1st. If you keep praying, and fasting, seeking God diligently, and believing with all faith for your blessings they WILL come. They might not come on January 2nd or maybe not even half way through the year; but they WILL come if you keep believing by faith and WAITING on the Lord. To every believer of God: Our hope is not in any particular day or year-for days and years pass away. However, our hope is in the One who will always remain, the One who hold every day and all time in His hands!
Psalm 39:7 (New King James Version)
“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”
-To God be the Glory,
