Cancel My Blessings Lord: New Perspective

Would you be so silly to stretch out your hands to Heaven and cry out, “Cancel My blessings Lord?”…Let me guess, of course not. You want your blessings, EVERYTHING God has for you in fact. However, let me teach you on today-when we fail to control the words we speak we may very well CANCEL the blessings God has in store for us. James 1:26 (New King James Version) even tells us if we don’t control or bridle our tongues, we make our religion useless! It does us no good to believe by our faith in God that something can be done, if we’re going to turn around and say otherwise with our mouths. Let me give you an example: let’s say you apply for a job for which you are not fully qualified.

You claimed it by your faith in God because you believe in your heart that God is able to do the impossible and can open doors no man can shut, in spite of your lack of qualifications. Now you took this big leap of faith but then you turn around and casually say to one of your friends, “Oh I probably won’t get the job. I don’t even have the experience; so I’m not going to get my hopes up too high.” BOOM!!! Right there, in your moment of doubt, you just cancelled your blessing! You just showed God and the enemy your lack of faith. You’ve opened up the door for Satan to block your blessing and you’ve even shown God you really don’t believe, as much as you say you do, that He can indeed do the impossible.

Listen people, the Word of God tells us there is power in what we say. Just like we can call blessings into existence, we can call them out of existence too. So if you really believe in your heart that God is able to heal, deliver, save, restore, and do all good things for you-let your every word agree with just that! Don’t let your mouth keep you from seeing the full power of God work in your life. Hear me now: don’t let your words cancel your blessings! I have a feeling you need your blessings-we all do!

Proverbs 18:21 (New King James Version)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
