Craving God: New Perspective

I guarantee you, as you mature in the Lord, you’ll get to a point where certain things just won’t entertain you anymore! You’ll find yourself walking away from certain conversations, cutting ties with old friends, or even changing up the things you watch on television or listen to on the radio all because what once kept you going does absolutely NOTHING for you now. So let me assure you right now-this is perfectly normal! You see, when you get closer to God and see the true beauty of holiness and righteousness, anything that’s not holy or doesn’t resemble God in any way will turn your stomach. You simply won’t want anything to do with things you can’t see God in; and you will begin to CRAVE God like never before! And guess what!…Craving God is a great thing because He knows just how to FILL US UP; He won’t leave us lacking or wanting for anything!

So the next time you can’t find anything entertaining to watch on television, open up the Word of God and let His Word entertain you. Or the next time someone comes to you with a negative conversation that you know will do nothing for you, walk away and go talk to God or someone who has God in them. Or when that old music you once listened to doesn’t make you move quite the same, turn on a little gospel and let God move you. From the music you listen to, to the places you go, to the things you do; let everything you partake in resemble God and our Savior Jesus Christ! I guarantee you God will satisfy your craving and cause you to be full to the point of overflow! Of all the things to crave, God by far is the absolute best-just try Him and see!

Matthew 5:6 (New King James Version)

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”

-To God be the Glory

  1. Adrianna this is so true. When we seek a relationship with God, the thirst and hunger for Him and His presence is so great that the things from our past become dull and so we distance ourselves from them and draw closer to God.
He is where life is, He is where true happiness and joy could be found nothing else can compare. May the Father continue to bless you Adrianna as you grow closer to Him. May His favour, protection, provision, grace, mercy and blessings locate wherever you go. In Jesus name, amen! Great post! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Absolute truth dear. I used to have shows I used to watch, and I craved them, while putting the word of God on the backburner. When I tasted God, my taste changed. No longer satisfied with the relebision, reality drama, but consern about the things of the spirit. Something changes!
