Feel Free Friday

Trying: Feel Free Friday

TRYING is a part of walking in our freedom. Some are afraid to try because they fear FAILURE; however, success comes by the same means! There’s not one person who has succeeded who didn’t first TRY! If anything is HOLDING YOU BACK or STOPPING you from trying, then you can’t possibly be walking in your freedom! Freedom doesn’t “hold you back” or stop you from doing GOOD things.

Now im sure there’s so many things you’d like to do. Maybe you’d like to go back to school, start some sort of ministry, or even give love a try again. I’m not telling you to go out trying any and everything, whether it be good or bad. Nor am I telling you to jump out there setting unrealistic goals that you haven’t seriously planned for or conversed with God about.

However, if you have a GOOD thing you’d like to do, have talked to God about it, and mapped out a legitimate plan of action; just give it a TRY! Don’t let fear of failure hold you back because remember you are free! Your vison or dream may seem impossible to you or others around you; and thoughts of failure may be ringing in your ear. However, remember Jesus said in Mark 10:27 (New King James Version) that with God ALL things are possible!

Now you’ll never know how true this is or exactly what the ALL entails until you try! As I always say: you are free. So live like it. Try like it. FEEL FREE my friends, FEEL FREE!

Feel Free Friday

Carry On: Feel Free Friday

I’ve always enjoyed people watching. Sometimes I may sit down on a bench inside a busy mall and watch people walking in and out of stores, talking, laughing, or happily holding the hand of their mate. Now if it’s on a day when I have something “heavy” on my mind, I must admit I sometimes get a little annoyed. Whether it’s a disappointment of some sort, a pain in my body, or just pure unhappiness with a particular situation in my life that’s bothering me; I get annoyed thinking “how dare these people be happy and CARRY ON with life as I sit here almost miserable?”  However, sometimes it motivates or inspires me when I see people continue to be happy in the midst of my own unhappiness. You see, sometimes we need to see people carrying on with life; because it reminds us that the world does NOT stop for anything or anybody.

I don’t mean to sound harsh, but even if we’re dealing with something as serious as the death of a loved one, I guarantee you that if God allows the sun to rise the next day, life will still CONTINUE to go on. Children will still get up and go to school the next morning and adults will still go to work. People will still adventure, love, laugh, and celebrate different things-life will still go on for everyone else! And today I want to encourage you that life SHOULD still go on for you too! I say it all the time; YOU ARE FREE! Now I say it because it’s true not just because it sounds good. Galatians 5:1 (New King James Version) instructs us saying, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”  However, if we allow the seemingly “heavy” issues of life to weigh us down and keep us from rejoicing, are we truly walking in our freedom or have we returned to bondage?….I’ll answer that for you; if we let this happen we are indeed returning to bondage.

Listen, I say all of that to say this. Things are going to happen in this natural realm called life; whether it be the loss of a loved one, a sickness that strikes your body, or a relationship/friendship that fails. However, NOTHING should separate us from walking in the freedom that Jesus Christ has purchased for us! So today I encourage you to pick yourself up out of the pits; MOVE ON, CARRY ON, and KEEP RIGHT ON WITH YOUR LIFE! Whatever good thing you want to do, do it! Whatever good level you want to reach, reach it! You are free; so live like it!  Feel free my friends, FEEL FREE!

NEW Things: Feel Free Friday

Plain and simple, you can NOT expect to feel something NEW if you’re doing the same OLD things! Now newness and freedom go hand in hand. Walking in the freedom Jesus Christ purchased for you, you have the right to try any new thing, as long as it is a GOOD thing that’s pleasing in the sight of God. Trying new things reminds us that we are indeed free but when we are stuck in the “same old same old” we feel BOUND or RESTRICTED.

Now answer this question for me: what are you afraid of? Even God does new things! God Himself tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19 (New King James Version), “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” Now if God said it surely you should believe it. He is plainly telling us that He will do a new thing and cause the dullness, dryness, and the very deserts of our lives to SPRING forth with life.

So whatever you’ve been wanting to do (big or small) just do it! It can be as small as trying a new food or hairstyle; or it can be as big as putting a business plan into motion, traveling to a new place, or giving love a try again. Whatever it is, if it’s PLEASING in the sight of God, you have the right to try it! I say it all the time and I’m still saying it on today because it’s true. You are free my friends. So live like it…FEEL FREE my friends FEEL FREE!

Regret: Feel Free Friday

Regret can sometimes hold us back from moving forward in life. Whether it’s a break up that hurt us badly or a business plan that we tried and failed at, we regret that we even gave it a try and we get STUCK dwelling on what we WISH we had of done. We beat ourselves up; constantly going over the would haves, could haves, and should haves and it becomes very difficult or nearly impossible for us to FREELY move forward and TRY something NEW again.

I know this feeling all too well; I’m sort of feeling this way right now in fact. However, let me encourage you while I encourage myself. Romans 8:28 (New King James Version) assures us saying, “And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” You hear that?…ALL things; the good, the bad, the ugly, the mistakes, the things we tried and failed at; ALL things!

Maybe it was a lesson you needed to learn. Maybe you needed something to stretch your faith or build your patience. Or perhaps you just needed to be put in a situation in which you were forced to finally understand that God is all you really need. Yeah you might’ve made some mistakes, might’ve gotten hurt, might’ve failed but because you are walking with God, He will take your biggest NEGATIVE and use it to help you grow-He will indeed work it for your GOOD!

So today I encourage you to simply learn your lesson and if you made a mistake ask God for forgiveness. However, after you have done all of that DON’T allow regret to hold you back from TRYING all the GOOD things you want to do. No regret, no hurt, no disappointment should ever keep you from walking freely in your freedom!

I say it all the time and I’m still saying it on today because it’s true. You are free my friends…So FEEL FREE!

Freedom Moves: Feel Free Friday

When you are truly free you will be MOVED in some type of way; and your direction will be FORWARD. Think of a bird when it is released from its cage. It doesn’t just linger inside or around the cage; it gracefully flies AHEAD into the open sky, claiming its new found freedom.  Now we know according to 2 Corinthians 3:17 (New King James Version) that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. So if you are filled with His Spirit you are literally filled with freedom! So walk in that freedom and let it MOVE you! Move forward, do new things, reach your goals, climb to higher heights!

Now I hope you all believe that while I write these beautiful messages to you that I also take my own advice because I do indeed. In fact, I just recently decided to walk in my freedom a bit more by putting a gift of mine to work. I’ve always been very creative and enjoyed drawing and making neat things. So God blessed me with an idea to start a new project called Heavenly Crafts by Adrianna. It includes my very own original paintings, glass table decorations, rearview mirror hangers, and beautiful wall crosses all hand designed by me! I just recently started selling them for a very low price and have experienced success with it thus far. I get to make beautiful things, do what I love, and on of top of that make a profit from it-it’s ABSOLUTELY awesome!

Now I don’t encourage you to go around using your freedom as an excuse to sin or do bad things. However, if there be any GOOD or POSITIVE things you want to do, do them! FLY HIGH just like that bird that’s been released from its cage! Don’t stay STUCK in the same spot for the rest of your life-let your freedom MOVE you!

I say it all the time my friends: You are free…so FEEL FREE!

Everything Freedom: Feel Free Friday

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, purchased our freedom long ago. Now once a prisoner has been set free, he DOES NOT walk right back into the cell which held him captive. Likewise, since Jesus has made us free from sin and all other forms of darkness, we should be CAREFUL to not return to those things which once held us in bondage. Galatians 5:1 (New King James Version) instructs us saying, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

You are free-so EVERYTHING about your life should be freedom. Your relationships should exhibit freedom-say goodbye to those bad friendships and relationships that weigh you down and keep you from moving forward in life. Your job should be freedom-reject those jobs that cause you to sin against God and interfere with your relationship with Him. Your church should be freedom-disconnect from those churches that only teach you routine, while neglecting to teach you the true Word of God. Even your thoughts should be freedom-cast down those thoughts of fear and doubt that keep you from going to the next level in God.

When you are truly free, everything attached to you is free! When you are truly free everything you produce should be free. Your children, your spouse, your friends, your business plans, your thoughts, your dreams…everything should scream freedom! So I urge you to stop what you’re doing for a moment and evaluate some things in your life. Are their some things attached to you that are NOT free?…If your answer is yes, I encourage you to cut those things a loose because if it’s tied to you and it’s not about freedom, it is indeed weighing you down!

Again EVERYTHING about your life should be freedom, because you are free my friend!…So FEEL FREE!

Comfort Zone: Feel Free Friday

Within your comfort zone you are safe from failure because of course, how can you fail if you never even try? However, likewise you can’t SUCCEED if you never TRY. Now I’m sure you want to succeed in life; and I’m sure there’s a lot of  fun and exciting things you want to do. But I’m telling you, if you’re not willing to COME OUT of that comfort zone you will never experience FULLNESS of life. I tell you every Friday that you are FREE; and I only say this because the Bible says so too! Now Galatians 5:13 (New King James Version) instructs us saying, “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” This scripture is simply telling us that we shouldn’t use our freedom as a license to go out doing every BAD thing we want to do just because it feels good to our flesh.

However, we CAN use our freedom to do GOOD things, things that are new and exciting; while also GODLY and rooted in LOVE. Now I know there are new things you want to try; whether it’s trying to start a small business, going back to school, or simply traveling to a new place. If it’s a righteous thing, something that doesn’t go against the Word of God, YOU CAN DO IT! You’ve just got to step out of that comfort zone in order to do it. Me personally, I’ve never been a good dancer. So I’ve decided to sign up for a rather cheap dance class that looks like it will be quite fun and definitely new for me! Out of my comfort zone I go!

Listen, if you want to FEEL something new you’ve got to DO something new! Get out of that comfort zone; and have FUN but remember to stay GODLY. You are free; so live like it. Feel free my friends, FEEL FREE!
